Will the demand for AI developers continue to grow, or will AI eventually reduce the number of developers companies need?

AI is likely to change the software development career more than it eliminates it. As AI becomes better at writing code, debugging, testing, and generating applications, companies may need fewer developers for repetitive implementation work—but they will still need people who can define problems, design systems, validate AI-generated code, manage security, and make good technical decisions.

I think AI will definitely change the developer job. I do not think AI will kill the developer job. If anything, developers who know how to use AI properly will become more valuable.

AI can already write code, fix bugs and build apps but developers still need to understand what they actually need to built and review the code to make sure the whole thing works. So maybe companies will need developers for some basic work but the developers who can think, solve problems and work with AI will be, in more demand.

Basically AI will not replace developers. Developers using AI will probably replace developers who do not. 😄
